Instructions for oral and poster presentations

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Electronic presentations
A data projector and both PC and Mac computers equipped with CD-ROM, ZIP and 3.5 inch diskette drives will be available in each auditorium.

Preferably take your presentation with you on a CD-ROM diskette. Use Windows-based PowerPoint program (XP versions are also acceptable). Label both your CD-ROM diskette and the PowerPoint file as "SpeakerNameNP2002.ppt" (e.g. "CharcotNP2002.ppt").

You may also use your own portable computer, which must have a VGA output supporting screen area 1024x768 pixels. (Remember to take a safety copy with you, if your computer is somehow damaged on the way over.)

Please, have your CD-ROM and portable computer checked with an updated antivirus program. Your CD-ROM will be examined by F-secure antivirus program before your ppt-presentation is loaded. Of course, infected files cannot be loaded.

Your presentation will be loaded by the staff in the auditorium from your diskette to the computer connected to the data projector. For that purpose you should take your CD-ROM (or portable computer) to the auditorium in which your presentation will take place at latest 30 minutes before the session begins.

There will be computers available for previewing in the Presentation Preview room, but for your convenience we recommend that you have previewed your presentation at home or have your own portable computer with you for previewing or possible last minute changes.

Slide presentations
Projectors for conventional 35 mm slide (frame 50 x 50 mm) presentations will be available in all auditoria. Double projection is possible, but not recommended.

The slides are loaded in the cassettes in the Presentation Preview room, where the slides should be taken at the latest 30 minutes before the presentation. There will be projectors available for previewing in the Presentation Preview room.

After presentations the slides can be picked up from the Presentation Preview room.

Overhead presentations
A conventional overhead projector is also available in all auditoria.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The size of the poster stands is height 115 cm and width 95 cm. Posters are attached by pins provided by the organizers.

The posters are posted for one day only (for exceptions, see POSTER PRIZES) according to the schedule given below. They should be pinned up before the first plenary lecture and be removed by the end of the day. Check already beforehand the day of your poster presentation (see poster schedule below).

There will be time for poster viewing as follows:
- During lunch breaks 1.5 hours
- During coffee breaks 2 x 30 min

Since there will be no formal poster discussions, the authors are requested to be present at their posters during the latter half of the lunch break.

POSTER PRIZES
Each day about 6-8 outstanding posters will be selected by an International Poster Award Committee to the Hall of Fame of Neuropathology 2002. These selected posters will be on display for the rest of the congress. The three most outstanding posters will be awarded a special prize.

POSTER SCHEDULE
Posters will be displayed according to their scientific categories (A-R) following the schedule below.

PLEASE NOTE! You can find your final poster number (different from the registration and abstract reference numbers you have received earlier) on this website in the end of June by clicking the icon Scientific Program.
